Our Pledge to Donors
At The Minuteman Foundation, Inc., one of our top priorities is making
sure that the information we have about you is protected and secure. We
value our relationship with you and work hard to preserve your privacy and
ensure that your preferences are honored. At the same time, the very
nature of our relationship may result in our collecting or sharing certain
types of information about you. We explain how we use donor information
in this privacy policy statement.
Information the Foundation Collects
We collect information that is necessary to carry out your wishes
regarding your donations, bequests and other philanthropic
actions.
How the Foundation Shares information
The Foundation lists the names and nature and value of gifts by current
donors in event programs, the Foundation's newsletters and on the
Foundation's web site., unless the donor expressly requests that the
Foundation not to do so. In addition, the Foundation may be required to
disclose this information to our financial
institutions when it accepts gifts of checks, bank drafts, securities, and
personal or real
property.
Otherwise, the Foundation does not disclose any information
it has about current or former donors except for legal reasons. The law permits,
and may require, us to share information about donors with government agencies or authorized third parties under certain
circumstances. For example, we may be required to share such information
in response to subpoenas or to comply with certain laws.
How the Foundation protects information
We strive to protect your data and safeguard it from unauthorized
individuals through written policies.
Donor Preferences
The Foundation will honor all requests stating a donor's choices for sharing
data. For instance, some donors may wish press releases be prepared to
accompany their donations, listings of donations on this web site, and
